Paul & Amanda have years of experience traveling in Costa Rica, and have designed this tour to show you some of the best secret spots and hidden treasures most people who visit Costa Rica never get to experience. This will be an incredible eco-tour with a focus on bird watching. We will see incredible birds as well as sloths, monkeys, frogs, lizards, snakes and much more

This tour itinerary will take you to the tropical Caribbean Foothills and Lowlands, the stunning midland mountains of Turrialba region, and up to the lush Highland Cloud Forests of the Savegre Valley. We will explore Cahuita National Park, the Guayabo National Monument, and Los Quetzales National Park. In addition we will visit an indigenous BriBri community to learn how to make traditional chocolate.

The excursions will be easy to moderate, with good paths, limited elevation change, and plenty of breaks to look at the incredible variety of birds and other wildlife. Afternoons will be laid-back and flexible, so you have the option to continue exploring the jungle or relax at the lodge with an Imperial (the local beer) to see what tropical birds fly by your hammock.

Trip Difficulty: This tour will have a moderate difficulty level. There will be walks over uneven terrain and sometimes steep trails.

 

Airport Information: The tour will begin and end at Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) in San Jose, Costa Rica. 

 

Trip Cost: $2765.00 per person (double occupancy). 

Single Supplement is $600 (traveling solo).
