This Tour takes you to some of the most incredible and remote areas of Costa Rica. Traveling from the marshes of Caño Negro in the north all the way to the Osa Peninsula in the south we will have the opportunity to see over 500 species of birds!

Where We're Going...

Bajos del Torro is a stunningly beautiful waterfall situated in the highlands north of San Jose. Nestled between Poas Vocano National Park and Juan Castro Blanco National Park  this area is home a wide range of tropical highland birds.

Caño Negro is considered to be one of the most important wetlands on earth and is home to over 350 species of birds, including Jabirus and Agami Herons. We will explore this incredible and remote area by boat and on foot.

Carara National Park & Tarcoles River

Situated on the border of tropical dry and wet rainforests, Carara National Park is home to an incredible variety of birds from both habitats. We will explore Carara and take a boat tour of the mangrove swamps along the Tarcoles River, which is home to a number of very large crocodiles!

Osa Peninsula & Corcovado National Park

Called "The most biologically intense place on earth", the Osa Peninsula is the most biodiverse place on the planet. We will stay in two different parts of Osa and explore the world famous Corcovado National Park.

COVID-19 Precautions:

We require all tour participants to have completed their COVID-19 Vaccinations at least 2 weeks prior to the tour start date. A copy of your completed vaccination card must be provided. We will continue to monitor the changing COVID-19 travel restrictions and requirements and keep our guests informed of any changes.

Cancellation Policy

If you have to cancel your trip, the following fees will apply: 

 

90+ Days before departure = $200 Deposit

60-89 Days before departure = 50% of Trip Cost

0-59 Days before departure = 100% of Trip Cost
