Join Epic Nature Tours in South Texas this March for an incredible eight days of birding at the Southern Border. We begin in Corpus Christi - visiting Aransas NWR to look for Whooping Cranes as well as some unusual shorebirds like Long-billed Curlews and Snowy Plovers. Next we travel south to Brownsville where we will visit world-famous birding hotspots like Resaca de la Palma, Laguna Atascosa & Santa Ana NWR. This area isn’t just the border between the US and Mexico, it is also the natural border between tropical and desert habitat that make it home to an incredible variety of birds, many found nowhere else in the US!
Day 1 (3/20) - Arrive at CRP, drive to Aransas NWR
Day 2 (3/21) - Bird Aransas NWR
Day 3 (3/22)- Morning birding, drive to Brownsville
Day 4 (3/23) - Laguna Atascosa NWR
Day 5 (3/24) - Bird Old Port Isabel Rd & Laguna Vista
Day 6 (3/24) - Bird Santa Ana NWR
Day 7 (3/25) - Rarity Roundup!
Day 8 (3/36) - Drive to CRP, Fly Home
Travel Logistics:
If you fly in we will either pick you up at the Corpus Christi airport or you can get a shuttle to our hotel, depending on when your flight arrives.
If you choose to drive, make sure you arrive at the hotel on March 20.
