November 7 - 18, 2018

12 Days     4 Regions

Fly in to San Jose on November 7, 2018 and then travel with us to the crystal clear waters and pristine rainforests of the southern Caribbean coast.  While in the Caribbean we will explore two national parks and visit a Great Green Macaw sanctuary. Next we travel upriver in a motorized dugout canoe to spend the night in an indigenous Bri Bri community.  Learn how to make delicious, authentic chocolate from the people who invented it and immerse yourself in the native culture of Costa Rica! Our next stop will take you to the ancient ruins of Guayabo and to the rim of an active volcano (not currently erupting). We end this awe inspiring journey in the high elevations of the cloud forest in the Savegre Valley, home to the magnificent Resplendent Quetzal, a bird revered as a God by ancient cultures.
